18th World Trade Union Congress of the WFTU concludes

The 18th World Trade Union Congress of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), organised in Rome, Italy, has concluded. Com. Pambis Kyritsis was elected the new general secretary.

Every trade union activist becomes part of the congress drawing strength from the experience of people's struggles against capitalist exploitation across the world. CITU national president Com. K Hemalata, state general secretary Com. Elamaram Kareem MP, and other CITU national secretaries including Com. Deb Roy, Com. Anadi Sahu and Com. Prasanta Nandi Chaudhuri took part in person, and about fifteen comrades online.
