Anganwadi workers' historic struggle begins in Delhi

The four-day historic struggle of anganwadi workers has begun at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Thousands of CITU activists from various states arrived on the first day.

The All India Federation of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers (CITU) is holding the struggle from July 26 to 29 with various demands, including: end the move to privatise the ICDS; grant minimum wages and pension benefits; cancel the unjustified dismissals in Delhi and Haryana; and ensure the same working conditions in all workplaces.
