CITU decides to intensify the Muthoot strike
The CITU state secretariat has demanded that the Muthoot Finance management end its inhuman stand of starving workers even in the Covid period. The management dismissed 164 workers in revenge for forming a trade union. The employees have been on strike for the last 17 months against the Muthoot management's harsh anti-worker action.
The meeting was chaired by CITU state president Anathalavattam Anandan.
The Muthoot Finance management, which makes crores in profit every year, takes an uncivilised stand towards its employees. At a time when all humanitarians are helping people as Covid spreads, the Muthoot Finance management shows the barbarity of throwing its own employees onto the street. This stand will not be allowed to go on unchallenged.
The CITU has decided to intensify the struggle against the Muthoot Finance management's anti-worker actions.
