CITU strongly protests the suspension of MPs

The CITU state secretariat registers its strongest protest at the suspension from the Rajya Sabha of members including CITU Kerala state general secretary Com. Elamaram Kareem and Com. K K Ragesh, who fought against the thoroughly authoritarian actions taken by the Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman and the BJP government, subverting parliamentary rules and the parliamentary system itself.

Eight Rajya Sabha members were suspended for raising their voices against bills that surrender the country's entire agricultural sector to monopolies and hoarders. By doing away with question hour and denying MPs the opportunity to speak, the BJP is subverting the parliamentary system itself. The CITU secretariat appeals to workers to register strong protest against this.
