The BJP is spreading communal propaganda to divide the protests being held against the central government on livelihood issues. The 'halal' slurs being raised in Kerala are poisonous. They have come out with this now because they cannot create problems in Kerala any other way.

Despite pouring money into the election, the BJP could not achieve anything. In the same way, the Muslim League is raising a controversy against Waqf Board appointments. To fight such trends in society, the Left is advancing by upholding secularism. The Congress takes an opportunist stand on secularism. Along with continuing its stand against communalism, the Left has also been able to advance in the development of the state.
