32% of employees in India report a fall in income: LinkedIn

A study (the Workforce Confidence Index) by LinkedIn, the social media networking company for employers and job seekers, found that 32% of employees reported a fall in their income because of Covid.

45% have cut their spending.

39% of senior professionals saw their income fall.

The situation of self-employed professionals is the worst:

62% reported that their income and business had declined.

Confidence in job security has fallen most in IT, construction and media.

One in four in manufacturing,

one in five in IT and two in five in media believe the near future of their sectors will be bleak and that they may lose job security.

It is generally expected that sectors such as health, education and human resources will make progress.

The LinkedIn study also says job opportunities will fall sharply in the near future.
