CITU leaders and activists who protested against the farm bill arrested

Karnataka police have arrested about a hundred CITU and Kisan Sabha activists, including CITU Karnataka state general secretary Com. Meenakshi Sundaram and state president Com. S Varalakshmi, who protested against the central government's anti-farmer bill.

Police dragged Com. S Varalakshmi along the road and took her away under arrest for protesting against the central government's anti-farmer stand. The central government, and various state governments that take anti-farmer positions, are trying to silence protests by using the police and violence.
