CITU solidarity with the farmers' national agitation
CITU solidarity with the nationwide agitation on September 25 organised by the joint organisations of farmers and agricultural workers against the BJP government's anti-farmer bills
The central government has brought three bills that completely overturn the agricultural economy. The agricultural market will be turned in favour of an unholy alliance of big landowners and corporates, and of multinational groups. The move is part of the government's retreat from its responsibility to ensure fair prices and minimum support prices in agriculture. The BJP government is paving the way for big domestic and foreign companies such as Adani Wilmar, Reliance, Walmart, Birla and ITC to reap profits.
The CITU declares its solidarity and full support for the nationwide protest agricultural workers are organising across the country on September 25, 2020 against the farm bills that are destroying Indian agriculture under cover of Covid. All workers must line up in the protest of farmers and agricultural workers to protect agriculture.
