CITU state president Com. Anathalavattam Anandan inaugurates ASHA Workers Federation (CITU) Secretariat march

CITU state president Com. Anathalavattam Anandan inaugurated the Secretariat march led by the ASHA Workers Federation (CITU).

The march raised these demands: a monthly wage of Rs 10,000 for ASHA workers under the central government's health mission;

stop officials from cutting wages by imposing needless conditions, and rein in officials who harass them mentally;

include ASHAs in the social security scheme urgently;

and provide help through a scheme like Ashakiranam to the families of ASHAs who die of deadly diseases such as cancer.
