Statement issued by the CITU state secretariat

The CITU state secretariat strongly protests the savage violence of the Congress in murdering DYFI activists Coms. Mithilaj and Haq Muhammad.

This barbarity took place in the middle of the road. It was a planned murder.

The Congress has a tradition of murdering Communist workers and CITU, DYFI and SFI activists. Gandhism in speeches and fascism in deeds is the hallmark of the Congress. In the semi-fascist terror led by the Congress in West Bengal from 1971 to 1977, more than eleven hundred CPI(M) workers and sympathisers were murdered. The Congress has no hesitation in butchering democracy. The comrades murdered at Venjaramoodu are victims of its brutality.

The CITU state secretariat strongly protests the Venjaramoodu double murder and appeals to all workers to organise protests across the state.
