Decision to corporatise ordnance factories is disastrous

The central government's decision to corporatise ordnance factories is disastrous: CITU

The CITU strongly condemns the Narendra Modi government's disastrous decision to corporatise the ordnance factories.

The Ordnance Factory Board makes the most efficient contribution to the country's defence preparedness. It is the most successful model of a 'self-reliant India'. Through corporatisation, the central government is aiming at privatisation and foreign participation.

All the country's trade unions and federations are united in opposing this disastrous decision of the central government.

The CITU congratulates the employees' federations that have come out against the moves to corporatise the ordnance factories. In the national interest, the CITU will give full support to all the strong resistance by the employees, including the protest called for June 19, CITU general secretary Com. Tapan Sen said in a statement.
