First day of the general strike

Greetings to those who made a complete success of the first day of the two-day nationwide general strike called by the joint trade union committee against the central government's anti-people, anti-worker policies.

The united trade unions called the strike for today and tomorrow with the slogans 'Save the people, save the nation'. The trade unions opened more than a thousand strike centres in the state. From 8 in the morning the strike centres were crowded, with thousands of workers arriving at each centre shouting slogans.
