India set aside only 0.7% to fight the Covid-19 pandemic

By April 2, Italy had spent 50% of its GDP, Japan 20% and the US 9% to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, while India set aside only 0.7%.

Various countries have implemented many schemes such as tax concessions, loans and wage subsidies. The Indian central government's attention is only on speeches, not on action.

It is in this situation that the CITU is campaigning with the slogans

"Action, not speeches;

give up anti-worker policies".
