State government says private hospitals told not to withhold nurses' salaries

The state government has said it has directed private hospitals in the state not to withhold the salaries of nurses.

Replying to a public interest petition in the High Court the other day, the government said cutting salaries would affect the mental health of nurses who are on the front line against Covid.
