On May 30, 1970, when the trade union movement was in deep crisis amidst the dark clouds of revisionism and class collaboration, over 5,000 delegates gathered at Lenin Nagar, Calcutta- and made history by founding CITU. 🔴In this video, we have Comrade A.K. Padmanabhan, Former National President of CITU, who was one of the delegates in the historic foundation conference in 1970. 🔴CITU was born under the leadership of Comrade B.T. Ranadive and Comrade P. Rammurthy. 🔴The call that rose from that historic conference still echoes today- "March Forward in Unity and Struggle!"
